The Spark of Happiness: How Family Firms Can Encourage Happiness to Avoid Conflicts
Conflicts are caused by unhappiness. Three values can encourage happiness in family firms: Respect, Recognition and Rewards. How can these be implemented?
Barbara Hauser, an FFI member, has more than 30 years’ experience working with families and family firms, first as a private client lawyer, then as a broader advisor—concerned about minimizing the natural conflict in all families. Her work in family governance is based on a commitment to a fair and inclusive process, engaged in by the families, to create rules and resolutions for themselves.
She will distill the three key values—Respect, Recognition and Rewards—and give practical examples. Discussion is encouraged.
