Addiction and Inheritance

Addiction is a chronic neurobiological disorder. Those with an addictive disorder may have years of remission (abstinence) followed by periods of active use. Families often spend thousands of dollars on treatment and are understandably concerned that large amounts of cash may not be healthy for the addicted heir or preservation of family assets. Please join Diana Clark of O’Connor Professional Group for a discussion about the ramifications of this commonly occurring issue and the ways advisors can minimize the damage.
