About the Seminar:

Myths, Realities, and Trends in the Field of Family Enterprise

This seminar provides an understanding of:
  • the trends and latest in family enterprise research and practice
  • the challenge to the persistent myth of shirtsleeves-to-shirtsleeves in three generations
  • the areas in several topics (women in family enterprises, governance, conflict management, and leadership transition) where researchers and consultants agree and where they differ.

About the Faculty:
Pramodita Sharma, Ph.D., 

Pramodita is the Sanders Professor of Business, University of Vermont. She serves as the Global Academic Director for Babson's STEP project. She is the editor of Family Business Review and an FFI Fellow. In 2011, she received the prestigious Barbara Hollander Award for "...significant engagement, study, and understanding of the family and social dynamics of family business."
