About the Presenter:

Francis X. Iaccarino-Project Executive at Shawmut Design and Construction

Francis “Fran” Iaccarino’s early years were strongly influenced by his entrepreneurial family. At 11 years old, Fran took on his first business venture: he bought, marketed, and sold model rockets in his family’s art supply store. He graduated with a BA in economics from Clark University in 1981. For his culminating small business management experience at Clark, Fran designed a business plan that would become his company: World Distributors Commercial Art and Picture Framing. After completing his MBA from Suffolk University in 1992, Fran divested his business and joined the family business, Iaccarino Architectural Millwork. Eventually, he became president of the company, where he stood at the helm until its closing in 2012. Currently he is a project executive at Shawmut Design and Construction in Boston. Fran is the father of four daughters. He attributes his continuous desire to learn and take on new challenges to all of their accomplishments. Fran enjoys all things outdoors, especially camping and beach days.
