Beyond Succession Planning: Building a Family Strategy

Presented by Andrew Keyt

Andrew Keyt, Executive Director at the Loyola University Chicago Family Business Center, will discuss how moving from succession planning to a family strategy forges family and business cohesion. He will touch on the role of the family mission/vision, communication, governance, and family leadership in developing the family strategy. Additionally, he will comment on the Loyola Family Business Center’s programs the Family Business Stewardship Institute and the Next Generation Leadership Institute and their focus on educating owners for effective stewardship and developing business leaders to ensure successful transitions and continuity.
As Executive Director at the Loyola University Chicago Family Business Center, Keyt is dedicated to helping multigenerational family-owned businesses grow, transition and learn. The Center serves some of the largest family firms in the United States and Canada, with approximately 100 member family businesses ranging in size from $25 million to $8 billion in annual sales.
