Sustainability in Multigenerational Enterprise Families

Evolution is a fact of nature and families evolve over time as they move from one generation to another. Families that share an economy have more complexity to handle to successfully evolve. They must deal with the tensions and sometimes hurdles created by the nexus of their family system with their economic system.  Fredda will focus her presentation on the kinds of practices that foster sustainability. Small group discussion of a case study will enhance the discussion.

About the Presenter:

Fredda Herz Brown, Ph.D., Principal

Fredda is a pioneer in the field of family enterprise. Her career in working with families who share substantial assets began almost twenty years ago. She is a Principal with Relative Solutions, a firm that focuses its work on working with multigenerational families who have decided to blend their emotional system with the economic and must deal with the challenges and opportunities created by that decision. Fredda has published widely in the field and is applauded for her thought leadership with regard to a variety of topics including family governance, family ownership, women and wealth, leadership and sustainability.
