For more than 25 years the Family Firm Institute has been the leading professional association worldwide dedicated solely to developing the field of family business and family wealth advising. It provides a global forum for practitioners, academics and others to acquire multidisciplinary knowledge while engaging in collaborative opportunities.

To ensure its continued leadership in providing cutting edge educational programming for the field, the FFI board of directors established the Legacy Fund in 2009. This non-restricted fund is used at the discretion of the FFI board to further the educational goals of the organization. To date, contributions to the Fund have been designated by the board for the development costs of the FFI Global Education Network (GEN).
